Three tailored programs ensuring young people have access to skills development and career opportunities

Technical and Vocational Education and Training Program

Through this TVET program, young people aged 17-35 are recruited, trained through an intensive orientation and placed into TVET institutions, including USET (former GTTI) for vocational or technical training courses. In 2025, 200 young people are undergoing this program nationwide..

Apprenticeship Training Program

 With support from UNDP, a total of 150 young men and women are undergoing the Apprenticeship Training Program which targets out-of-school youth or those with limited formal education to offer two-year apprenticeship training with master-craft persons across the country.

National Youth Service Graduate Program

The National Youth Service Graduate Program, jointly funded by the UNDP and the Government of The Gambia through the Ministry of Youth and Sports, annually targets 100 fresh undergraduates for paid internships in the public and private sector.

Community & Rural Services

Some programmes are tailored for agricultural/agrarian engagement (e.g., rice agronomy training in Sapu) to support rural youth employment and food-security objectives
